This series was created as a way to fund my original thesis project. My original idea was to create a device that would measure an amputee's residual limb in 3D, accounting for muscle mass, tissue density, and boney prominences. This was an expensive project and would have been more expensive had I not found out that someone had already defended their doctoral thesis on the exact same idea about 6 months prior... after a few months of work and research I had to change my thesis project to something else.
I instead figured out a way to make a prosthetic knee from melted milk jugs, and other forms of discarded plastic.
This was the first board I donated to Worldbuilders.
